Greetings!
The espaliered apple tree we have in our garden is blooming, and after I uploaded this photo, I was surprised to see one of my husband’s little honeybees working the lower blossom. So much of nature’s handiwork goes by unnoticed as we go about our busy lives. This year, I’ve set a goal to take more time to go outside more often to enjoy the flowers, bushes, and trees. I hope we can all reduce our stress that way.
Like this bee, I’m still working. This month I’ve made a good start on book eleven, still untitled, and expected to be out fall of 2026. I’m 23,000 words into it and counting. I hope to write 5000 words each week, and at that rate I’ll finish the first draft by August. I’ll keep you updated on my progress with both my outdoor and my writing goals.
Here’s wishing you a HAPPY SPRINGTIME!

AUTHOR FRIENDS SPOTLIGHT
This month’s spotlight shines on author Eva Pohler and her Mystery House Series.
Secrets of the Greek Revival: Nancy Drew meets the Golden Girls in this paranormal mystery series. Ellen and her two best friends share a mid-life crisis by hatching a plan to renovate an 1860’s Greek revival in the nearby historic district of San Antonio. Although Ellen isn’t one to believe in ghosts, she comes face to face with something inexplicable in the attic. Her ghost-enthusiast friends convince her that they must help the spirit find closure, and as they dig deeper into the past, they uncover a shocking history that someone in the neighborhood doesn’t want exposed. But Ellen and her friends don’t give up easily. They realize they’ve been called to give voice to the invisible women who suffered behind the walls of the house for decades.

DOGGIE GALLERY
I invite you to send a photo of your dog if you’d like it to appear in this section of my newsletter. I’d like to include your dog’s name too. Today, I have three pictures that show my grand dog Sunny’s many faces. First, the cuddly, adoring Sunny.
Next, the excited Sunny about to go on a walk.
And last, a cartoon that depicts our Sunny’s separation anxiety.
HAPPY SPRINGTIME! I’ll be back in June with more news and highlights.
Wishing you all the best,
Margaret
I love these posts. Always newsy and fun. Those puppy pictures bring a smile to my face every single time. I devour your books and wait anxiously for our next adventure. Thank you for sharing your talent with your readers.
Great book news, and I love the cartoon! With pets, I find that I'm the one with separation anxiety. We have a truly wonderful pet sitter who understands, and sends me photos throughout the day when I'm away, with imaginary commentary supplied by Ollie and Sebastian.
